  1. h07 cross sunset 10S. Portland and Caribou- Robert L. Hebert, 66, died peacefully March 18, 2019 at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough following a 3 year struggle with ALS. He was born in Caribou, August 31, 1952, the son of Wilfred and Gloria (Moreau) Hebert. He was a graduate of Caribou High School and was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Robert was a hardworking man, always on the go, and was always willing to help anyone who needed him. He especially loved to help his daughters, coaching them on their recreational basketball and baseball teams. Robert married Constance Morris, December 14, 1974. Surviving in addition to his wife, Connie, of South Portland, and his mother, of Caribou, are two daughters, Deidre Nowlin and husband Joshua, and Kristen Harper, his grandchildren, Iseyik Harper, Logan Flahorey, Liam and Lauren Nowlin, two sisters-in-law, Charaline Whitten, and Donna Morris, of South Portland, brothers, Fred, Alan, and Donald Hebert all of Caribou, Thomas Hebert and wife Sherry, of Gray, Mack Hebert and wife Cher, of Windham, Gary Hebert and wife Jola, of Brunswick, sisters, Ann Marie Keough and husband Francis, of Auburn, Della Cote and husband Bill, of Florida, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hebert was predeceased by his father, Wilfred. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am, Saturday, April 13, 2019 from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the Rose Acres Community Center, Main Street, Caribou. A Mass of Christian Burial will also be held in South Portland at a later date to be announced at a future time. Friends who wish to contribute in Robert’s memory, may do so through the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House or the Maine ALS Foundation.
