Caribou and Washburn- Wayne Alan Carter 36, died unexpectedly August 13, 2012 at Caribou as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Caribou November 16, 1975 the son of the Alan and E. Anne (Corey) Carter. Wayne was a 1994 graduate of Washburn District High School as well as Northern Maine Community College. He was employed as the station manager for Daigle Oil in Caribou where he was employed for over 20 years. Surviving in addition to his parents of Washburn are son Marcus Carter of Caribou, his sister and brother in law, Angela and Scott Dow of Caribou. A niece Hannah Dow and a nephew, Mitchell Dow. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Wayne was predeceased by his grandparents, Ray and Glennis Carter and Danny and Katherine Corey. Friends may call the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street 6-8 pm Wednesday. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Friday from the Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn with Rev. Bruce Blakney, officiating. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the Washburn Pentecostal Church.
