Caribou

Wallace John Fraser, 69, died November 9, 2024 in Caribou following a period of declining health. He was born April 25, 1955 in Fort Fairfield the son of Willard Douglas and Mary Helen (Peter-Paul) Fraser. Wallace was a 1972 graduate of Fort Fairfield High School. He was employed as a long-haul truck driver for many years, including in Iraq for a trucking company that aided the military. Through the years he was also employed at Walmart. Wallace was a past member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Anah Shrine, Fort Fairfield Auxiliary Fire Department and Police Departments.

In addition to his parents, Wallace was predeceased by his grandparents, Christiane (Prisk) and John Henry Peter-Paul, and Caroline (Simmons) and John Alexander Fraser. He is survived by two children, Wally Fraser of Bangor, and Melissa Fraser of Presque Isle, brothers, Philip Fraser and wife Glenda of Amherst, N.S., Canada, Willard Fraser and wife Rosa of Fredericksburg, VA, and James Fraser and partner Sharon Harris of Slenon Park, P.E.I., Canada, sisters, Marilyn Fraser of Caribou, Carolyn Fraser of Bathurst, N.B., Canada, and Lynn Fraser and husband Allan of Scotch Lake, N.B., Canada, many nieces and nephews. Wallace is also survived by his two grandchildren who were truly the apple of his eye, Peyton and Riley Fraser.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 12PM until time of services which will be held at 1PM from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Interment will take place in the Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.
