Vivian Hollingworth Mahany

PRESQUE ISLE – Vivian Hollingworth Mahany, 75, passed away February 11, 2022 at the Aroostook House of Comfort. She was born in York, October 22, 1946, the daughter of Raymond and Nina (Lindsay) Hollingworth. Vivian grew up in York, moving to Aroostook County in 1966, where she created a beautiful life with 3 children and her many close friends. She will be remembered for being very meticulous – both in the way she dressed and in how she kept her home. Vivian had an eye for interior design, and enjoyed helping her children decorate. Vivian was a social butterfly, and spent many afternoons playing cards, drinking coffee, and enjoying conversation with nearly everyone she met. She was a very spiritual woman who created her own relationship with God, deeply rooted in her daily reading of the Bible. Vivian is survived by her three children, Lisa Griffeth and husband Mark, Cole Theriault and wife Lyndsay, Shane Theriault, and their brother, Jesse Theriault, of whom she was extremely fond, her grandchildren, Abbi Frost and husband Matt, Bronwen Wickstrom, Lexi Theriault and fiancé Breen Blackstone, Gracie Theriault, Coleson Theriault, and Georgia Theriault, a great-grandson, Rhett Frost, a brother, Guy Hollingworth and wife Ann, and a sister, Holly Whittle and husband Ralph. She is also survived by her cat, Patches. She was predeceased by her parents, and an infant sister, Linda. Private family services will be held at a later date.
