Viola P. Soucie

June 23, 1932 — August 20, 2022

CARIBOU – On August 20, 2022 God welcomed Viola Patricia Soucie into Heaven. Viola was born in Boston, MA, June 23, 1932, the daughter of Edward and Annie (Bouchard) Clevette.  Viola attended the Holy Rosary Catholic School from first grade through eighth grade, then attended and graduated from Caribou High School with the class of 1951.  She was a lifelong member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Catholic Golden Age. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 9389 Ladies Auxiliary, and R.S.V.P. In 1952 she married Leo George “Richard” Soucie, who passed away in 1957, together Viola and Leo had three children.  Viola worked at Birds Eye, American Kitchen Foods, and L&S Processing plants.

She is survived by two of her three children, Edward Soucie of Caribou, and Rick Soucie and his wife Eileen of North Carolina, six grand-children,  eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Viola was predeceased by her parents, a son, Wayne Soucie and his wife Rose, and her three siblings, Constance Staples, Evelyn Boyce, and Adrienne Chapman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1PM, Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Old Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship in the church hall.
