Caribou – Tom Norman Thommasen, 72, died at a Caribou healthcare facility July 30, 2012. He was born April 21, 1940 in Seattle Washington the son of the late Leonard and Mildred (Crowser) Thommasen. Mr. Thommasen served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a tractor trailer truck driver and drove bus for the New Sweden School System for several years. He is survived by his wife Judith Gain of Caribou, two daughters; Marie Zacharda and her family of Eagle, ID., and April Baldwin and her family of Lidgerwood, ND., two stepdaughters; Laurie Molton and her family of New Sweden and Lucy Zientek and her family of Missoula, MT., A sister, and one sister Karen DiRe of Woodinville, WA. Six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Thommasen was predeceased by two brothers; Lloyd and Jerry Thommasen Graveside services will be held 10am Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Northern Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, Caribou with Rev. Ron Rosser, officiating.
