Woodland – Stanley Allan Thomas, 82, died September 29, 2018 at his Woodland residence. He was born in Caribou, June 30, 1936, the son of the late Allan Moses and Enid Una (Meredith) Thomas. He was educated at the Caribou School system and then enlisted in the U.S. Army serving for many years as a Staff Sergeant with the 152nd Field Artillery Army National Guard. Stan was employed for several years as parts manager for Northern Sales and Service before owning and operating Stan’s “Home of the 10 cent coffee” at Madawaska Lake for over 41 years. He is survived by two brothers, Robert Thomas of Woodland and Charles Thomas and wife Shirley of Londonderry, NH, two sisters Emilie Martin and husband Henry of Chipley, Fl., and Ruth Tozier and husband Jared of Lynchburg, Va., a special family friend Mary Lou Nelson, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with James Richie officiating. Interment will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery. A time of fellowship will be held at the Caribou United Baptist Church following the service.
