CARIBOU – Theresa M. Cummings, 82, died September 12, 2014 at Caribou Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born in Guerrette, January 30, 1932 the daughter of the late Eddie and Delphine (Dube) Gagnon. Theresa was a 1951 graduate of Wisdom High School in St. Agatha and graduated from the school of nursing at St. Joseph Hotel Dieu in Edmunston, New Brunswick. For many years she was a registered nurse in New York, Massachusetts, Florida, Louisiana and Michigan, and was a pediatric nurse at Cary Memorial Hospital and Cary Medical Center for over 27 years. Ms. Cummings drew great strength from her Catholic faith and was a long time, active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she served as an Eucharistic minister and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Edward Cummings and wife Darlene of Midlothian, VA and one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Iazzetti and husband Ben of Tyrone, GA. Sisters, Blanche Pelletier of Caribou and Shirley Pelletier and husband Edmund of New Canada. Brothers, Lawrence Gagnon of Mattawamkeag, Allan Gagnon and wife Gerry of East Millinocket. Her grandchildren, Matthew Cummings and his wife Libby of Fort Fairfield, Jason Cummings of Boston, MA, Krista Cummings of Manchester, NH, and Michael Iazzetti of Tyrone, GA. Her great grandchildren, Kamren, Karson, Hannah and Hadley. Many nieces and nephews. Ms. Cummings was predeceased by her sisters Lorenza, Emily and Therese and brothers Wilbert, Lorenzo and Willard. Friends may call from 9am to 11am, Monday September 15, 2014 at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11am Monday from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the New Holy Rosary Catholic Cemtery, Caribou.Forever Theresa will sing of the goodness of the Lord, she is becoming dust, the beloved dust of God which he will raise on the last day, forever may his name be praised.
