Caribou - Thelma Budd Mockler, 82, went peacefully home to be with her Savior, February 8, 2017 at Caribou. She was born in Fairchance, Pennsylvania September 12, 1934 the daughter of the late Rev. George and Lilly Pearl (Gilbert) Budd. She was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln and in 1956, she received her RN Degree from Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Mockler was employed at Cary Memorial Hospital for a number of years and then was the office nurse for Dr. Frederick Gregory for many years. She married Robert Mockler, June 18, 1958 and he predeceased her in 2014. Thelma was a member of the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church and was also a member and past Matron of Elizabeth Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; James and Christine Mockler of Caribou, David Mockler of Cross Lake, and Stephen and Beth Mockler of Townsend, MA, her sister, Edna Carr of Columbus, OH, six grandchildren; Robert, Eric, Amanda, Mariah, John and Libby and her great grandson, Camden, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mockler was predeceased by an infant daughter. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Saturday February 11, 2017 from 12:00 noon until time of services which will be held at 2:00 pm from the funeral home with Pastor Troy Heald, officiating.
