Caribou - Steven P. Michaud, died May 27, 2014 at his Caribou residence. He was born in Caribou May 5, 1954 the son of Maynard and Pam (Jacques) Michaud. Steve was a 1972 graduate of Caribou High School and served with the US Navy. He began his career with the Caribou Police Department, where he served as the DARE officer for a number of years. He then taught criminal justice classes at Caribou High School, and more recently was employed by the Maine Military Authority at Loring. Steve was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family at Cross Lake. Steve always mentioned that his greatest accomplishment in life was loving his family. He married Paula (Barclay) Michaud August 16, 1986.Surviving in addition to his wife and his father both of Caribou are his son Travis Michaud, two daughters Trisha Stubbs and Katie Scott and her husband Patrick all of Caribou, and Russell Stubbs of Caribou. A sister, Jean Gallagher and her husband Scott of New London, New Hampshire. Four grandchildren, Hunter, Grant and Reagen Stubbs and Arizona Scott. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Steven was predeceased by his mother. Friends may visit with the family 6-8pm Friday May 30 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Saturday, May 31, 2014 from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the parish hall.
