New Sweden-Staci J. Landeen, 51 passed away November 27, 2016 at Caribou following a long illness. She was born in Caribou, May 8, 1965, the daughter of the late Ed and Blanche (Walker) Whaley. She attended the Caribou Schools, was a member of the Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church, and she married Scott Landeen. Staci was a CNA and was employed at Caribou Rehab and Nursing as well as the Maine Veterans Home, Caribou. She was a loved person by many and was a loving wife, mother and caring friend, who will be sadly missed. Surviving in addition to her husband, Scott of New Sweden, are her two sons; Shane Landeen and Scotty Landeen, her daughter Kylee Landeen, all of New Sweden. Her mother-in-law and father-in-law Gary and Norma Landeen of New Sweden. Staci was blessed to have a large, caring family from both the Whaley, and Ladeen families, and she is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers in law and sisters in law, including a special Aunt, Lola McBreairty. She was predecased by her parents and two brothers, Steven and Stuart. Friends may visit with the family Friday December 2, 2016 at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou from 5:00 pm until time of services, which will held at 7:00pm with Rev. Robert Smith, officiating. Interment will be in the New Sweden Cemetery
