CARIBOU – Sharon J. Skidgel, 70, died May 2, 2023 at Caribou following a period of declining health. She was born in Caribou, May 21, 1952 the daughter of Garfield and June (Rossignol) Holmes. Sharon graduated from Caribou High School with the class of 1970, and then earned a degree in nursing. She worked for many years at local hospitals and nursing homes. She is survived by her sons, Tom Malm of New Hampshire, Tim Malm of Caribou, Paul Malm of Caribou, and Ricky Groom and wife Isabell of Van Buren, grandchildren, Tyler, Erica, Logan, Rebecca, Macie, Alannah, Michael, Bryant, Jude, Felix, Finnegan and Baby Groom, two siblings, Garfield “Gary” Holmes and wife Lynne, and Colleen Lajoie both of West Gardiner, and three nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
