Shirley Ann Michaud

August 6, 1936 — December 15, 2023

Shirley Ann Michaud, 87, was called home on December 15, 2023, at Presque Isle surrounded by family.  Shirley was born in Caribou, August 6, 1936, to parents Acael and Charlene (Brinkman) Chapman.  She attended Caribou schools, graduated from Caribou High School, and married Paul J. Michaud on December 7, 1955.

Shirley was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Limestone Electric Company, Grant’s Dairy, and McNeal’s Trucking.  Shirley was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother – who was always involved in the lives of her family.  She loved attending family events, and hosted many get togethers.  Mom was the heart and soul of our family and was the light that helped her boys become the men they are today.  She had many endearing traits such as love, compassion, selflessness, kindness, and respect.

She is survived by her children, Randy Michaud and wife Dori of Cross Lake, Paul Michaud and wife Joan of Waterville, and Rick Michaud and wife Katie of Perham, two brothers, Bobby Chapman of North Dakota, and Ronald Chapman of Limestone, one sister, Carol St. Amand of Brewer, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Michaud was predeceased by her husband Paul on December 7, 2020. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM Saturday, January 6, 2024, from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Following the service all are invited to a time of fellowship and refreshments which will be held in the parish hall.
