WOODLAND – Ronald J. Griffeth, 85 passed away November 25, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Woodland, November 10, 1934 the son of the late Leonard R. and Edith (Smith) Griffeth. In September of 1976 he married Darlene Brown, and they shared nearly 43 years of marriage before her passing in June of 2019. Ronald owned and operated Caribou Service Center – a Phillips 66 station – and sold and serviced Allouette Snowmobiles for many years. He was also employed as a mechanic at Roland’s Gulf. Mr. Griffeth enjoyed four wheeling, snowmobiling, and the outdoors. Ronald is survived by his sons, Mark and wife Lisa of Windham, and Kevin and wife Margaret of Portland, daughters, Rhonda and husband Bobby Poteat, and Tammy Quinn all of Amelia Island, FL, and Nanette Boyden, of Jacksonville, FL, step-children, Kelly Sekula of Thurmont, MD, many grandchildren, including Jamie Williams and husband Randy and their children, with whom he was especially close, and John Sekula, his brother, Leon Griffeth and wife Irma, of Springfield, MA, several great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Leatha Griffeth, his special canine companion, Pookie, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Dale, Wallace, and Lloyd Griffeth, sisters, Pauline Lannier, Helen Olmstead, and Irene Griffeth. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 1pm until time of services which will be held from the chapel of the funeral home at 2pm with Rev. David Goupille officiating. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in the spring.
