Roberta G. Guerrette, 85, died January 26, 2012 at Presque Isle. She was born at Westfield, April 3, 1926, the daughter of John and Rose (Milles) Guiggey. She was a graduate of the Presque Isle high school Class of 1944 and was a graduate of the Eastern Academy Beauty Institute in 1945. Roberta was a self-employed beautician in Caribou for over 62 years, which she took great pride in her work at her shop as well as a beautician at Mockler Funeral Home for over 50 years. She was a member of the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was also an active member of the Henry B. Pratt Post #15 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for 39 years where she served as past president and past District president; and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Mars Hill where was past Worthy Matron. She married Raphael Guerrette on July 2, 1957. Surviving in addition to her husband of Caribou are her nieces; a special niece Phyllis Taylor and Pauline Kennedy both of Westfield, Ann Dsupin and her husband John of Nashville, Linda Worthely and her husband Lenny of Orono, Jackie Bond and her husband Jim of FLA, Carol Heitzman and her husband Tony of Bay Louis, Mississippi and a grandniece Lisa Simons and her husband Chris of Tucson, AZ; her nephews; a special nephew Charles Guiggey and his wife Marge of Gold Canyon, AZ, Vaughn Bridges of Presque Isle, Leslie Bridges of Monticello, Jack Guiggey and his wife Connie of Woburn, MA; and a sister-in-law Doris Guiggey of FLA. Roberta was predeceased by six brothers Charlie, Vaughn, Robert, Harold, Gerald and Vinal Guiggey and three sisters Dora Taylor, Annette Allen and Lena Bridges. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir St., Caribou 7-9pm Sunday, with evening Vigil prayers being held at 7:30pm. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Monday, January 30, 2012 from the Parish of The Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the V. Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will take place in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou.
