CARIBOU – Robert G. Brown, 71, died unexpectedly April 10, 2024 at a Caribou healthcare facility. He was born in Kennebunkport, March 7, 1953 the son of Chadbourne and Melissa Josephine “Jo” (Glasscock) Brown. Robert was a graduate of Kennebunk High School, and then enlisted in the United States Air Force. Robert retired as a Tech Sergeant after over 20 years of service. During his military service he earned the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, NCO PME Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, and the Airforce Outstanding Unit Award. He worked for several years as the Assistant Shop Chief and then the Shop Chief of the Wheel and Tire Shop at Loring Air Force Base. He also attended the NCO Leadership School and the Supervisory Development Course. Robert is survived by his wife, Marie Francine Brown of Caribou, his children, Bobbie Jo Wilbur, Shawn Maddox, James Brown, Shane Maddox, and Desirae Brown, ten grandchildren, Crystal King, Tiffany Lisenby, Jennifer Brown, Julio and Julia Lopez, Jayden Cray, Robert Maddox, Katherine Maddox, Jack Maddox, and Jennifer Maddox, 5 great-grandchildren, many extended family members. He was predeceased by his first wife and the mother of his children, Linda Katherine Brown in 2021.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 9AM until time of services which will be held at 11AM from the chapel of the funeral home with Robert’s son, Pastor James Brown, officiating. Private interment will take place at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Caribou at a later date.
