WOODLAND-Richard L. Doody, 80, went home to be with his Lord on June 10, 2012 after contending with a long illness. Richard is remembered as a loving, caring, giving individual who had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Loretta, as well as his four children and their spouses; Michael and Lee Doody, Charmaine and Normand LaCasse, Marty and Tina Doody, and Scott and Jessica Doody. Richard is survived by his sisters; Emily, Josephine, Geraldine, Arlene and Kathryn, and his brothers, Vyonn and Dale, plus eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Glenwood and Elenor (McPhee) Doody, his sister; Ethel, and his brothers; Glenwood Jr. and Elwin.
Richard faithfully attended his church, Abundant Life Mission. God blessed him with talent to design the interior of the church with the help of others. There are just so many things he has done for his church behind the scenes. Graveside servcies will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 10:00am at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. A time of fellowship will follow at the Abundant Life Mission Church, Woodland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Abundant Life Mission c/o his wife Loretta Doody, 195 Thibodeau Road Woodland, ME. 04736.
