Caribou-Richard “Dick” Harris, 73, died unexpectedly September 6, 2012 at his Caribou residence. He was born in Caswell July 5, 1939 the son of the late Guy and Ella (Cote) Harris. Dick was a well-known area contractor in the Aroostook County area, having owned and operated R.F. Harris and Son Construction Company for many years. Dick was a very proud man, both of his wife, children and grandchildren and their accomplishments, as well as the accomplishments and many area projects and buildings that he was a part of. He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Damboise) Harris of Caribou, his children, Karen Harris Voye and her husband John of Bangor, Richard “Richie” Harris Jr. and his partner Amanda Cloney and Kay Harris Butler and her husband Curtis all of Caribou. Two brothers, Robert Harris of Indiana and James Harris of Caribou. Three sisters; Lillian Doody of Woodland, Marion King of Florida and Shirley Bokun of Connecticut. Eight Grandchildren, Two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Harris was predeceased by a sister Connie Hardacker. Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 6-8 pm Saturday. Funeral services were held 2:00 pm Sunday September 9, 2012 from the funeral home with Rev.
