Caribou-Richard Joseph Bard, 90 died July 10, 2023 at Caribou following a period of declining health. He was born in Frenchville September 22, 1932 the son of the late Joseph and Febrenie (Michaud) Bard. He married Doris Pelletier April 20, 1954. Mr. Bard was employed as a custodian for the Caribou School Department for over 20 years. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and also served with the Army National Guard for several years. Richard enjoyed riding his four wheeler and after his retirement loved working for Red Smith of the farm. Surviving in addition to his wife of over 69 years, Doris of Caribou are two daughters and sons in law; Rena and Wayne Bourgoine of Caribou and Nancy and Ed Lyons of Chapman. A granddaughter, Angel Chaffee and husband Brian of Rockport, TX. A grandson, Joe Lyons and wife Val of Chapman. Many nieces and nephews. Mr. Bard was predeceased by Sisters Ann Marie, Rose Deprey and husband Roland, Lucille Moore and husband Dexter, Virginia Fongemie and husband Valore and his twin sister Rita Dubois and husband Fernand. Brothers; Claude Bard and wife Estelle, and Wilfred Bard and wife Corrine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Saturday July 15, 2023 from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
