Richard Argraves

Richard P. Argraves, 73, died April 1, 2025 in Bangor following a brief illness. He was born in Caribou, December 29, 1951 the son of Marshall and Patricia (Dobson) Argraves. Richard was a 1971 graduate of Caribou High School, where he was a 5-sport athlete. His love of sports that was fostered in high school was evident throughout his life. He was a competitive bowler who took part in several televised bowling competitions. Rick was also a frequent golfer. He was a self-employed general contractor and carpenter for many years. Above all Rick loved his family. He was a dedicated husband, father, stepfather, and grandfather.

Rick is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Alma (Smith) Argraves of Caribou, his son, Brandon Argraves and wife Anaystaysia of Denver, CO, stepchildren, Rayma Buckles of Jupiter, FL, Lorie Lilly of Caribou, and Ben Lilly of Marbella, Spain, siblings, Brenda Kilby of Portland, Gary Argraves and wife Cathy of Sebastian, FL, Judy Lauderdale of Williamsport, VA, and Donald Argraves and wife Diane of Bunnell, FL, grandchildren, Coral Davis, Kaleta Davis-Ryan, Daniella Lilly, and Dahlia Argraves. He will also be missed by his many friends, especially his 5AM coffee buddies. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by a brother, Robert Argraves.
