Caribou-Rev. Elden J. Wilcox, 96 went to be with his Lord January 11, 2014 at his Caribou residence. He was born at Perham April 13, 1917 the son of the late George and Delia (Twist) Wilcox. Elden served with the US Army during WW II , was employed by the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad for33 years, retiring as foreman. Rev. Wilcox pastored the North Star Pentecostal Church for many years. The church, located in Perham was the school house that he attended as a child. . At the age of 92, Rev. Wilcox fully retired after many years serving his Lord and performing countless wedding and funerals. He was predeceased by his wife Eldora (Green) Wilcox, a son Dennis and a daughter Lois and several brothers and a sister. Rev. Wilcox is survived by a son and daughter in law George and Vera Wilcox and a daughter Vikie Yerka. His grandchildren: Lana and Keith Kelley, Lanel, Amanda,William,and friend Jessie, Elton and friend Kelly, Brian and friend Emily Pelletier, and Trey Yerka. Great grandchildren; Jeremy and Kelly Kelley, Justin and friend Elizabeth, Ethan Wilcox, Michelle and friend J.D., Andrea Kelley, Mia, Alton, Nicholas and Elton Pelletier. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 6-8 pm Tuesday and noon Wednesday until time of services. Services will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Rev. Wilcox may do so to assist the family C/O Mockler Funeral Home.
