New Sweden - Rayfield Willette, 72, husband of Jane (Springer) Willette, passed away unexpectedly October 25, 2017 at his New Sweden residence. He was born in Island Falls July 8, 1945 the son of the late Truman and Gladis (Davis) Willette. He attended the Patten Schools and served with the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He married Jane Springer June 18, 1966. Mr. Willette was employed by Great Northern Paper, Northeast Plumbing, and more recently Advanced Auto Parts. He was a member of Molunkus Lodge #165, A.F. & A.M. Surviving in addition of his wife of over 50 years, Jane of New Sweden, his daughter and son-in-law Summa and Calvin Gustafson of New Sweden, a grandson Ethan Gustafson and a granddaughter Deavin Robertson and her husband Sam, one great-grandson Griffin Robertson, a sister Theresa Ryan of Island Falls, several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family 1- 3 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. from the funeral home with Rev. Ron Rosser officiating. Interment will be at the Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mr. Willette may do so through the charity of one’s choice
