Phyllis V. Curless, 80, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024 at her Caribou residence. She was born in Winterville, Maine on November 26, 1943, the daughter of Patrick and Rita (Godin) Gagnon. She married James Curless on June 4, 1983. Phyllis worked at McCains for many years, and was a longtime communicant of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, James of Limestone, and her 4 children, Robert (Kerry) Wortman of Silver Springs, Florida, Lisa Wortman (Fred Martin) of Bangor, Raymond Wortman of Bangor, and Roland (Tammy) Wortman of Fort Kent. 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. A beloved sister, Linda Curlin of Louisiana, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Richard Gagnon and his wife Margaret. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 15, 2024 from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Join the family for refreshments following the funeral.
