Philip E. Theriault Jr., 85, died surrounded by his family on April 24, 2025 at the Aroostook House of Comfort following a long illness. He was born in St. Agatha, March 19, 1940 the son of the late Philip and Irene (Marquis) Theriault Sr. He attended Caribou Schools. He served with the United States Army and married the love of his life Jean Raymond on June 24, 1961. Mr. Theriault was employed by several area potato processing companies and was also a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed camping, gardening, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family. At the age of 58 Philip started running and over the years he ran in 20 marathons in several states and in Canada.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jean of Caribou, his daughters, Lorrie Corey of Saco, Sharon (Brian) Pelletier of Westbrook, his son, Terry (Nicole) Theriault of Hudson, NH, sisters, Nola (Larry) Plourde of Caribou, Joan Bragdon of Van Buren, twelve grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Theriault was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Donald Theriault, and Gerald (Betty) Theriault, a sister, Jacqueline Bubar Nadeau, brothers-in-law, Mack Bragdon and William Bubar, and his granddaughter, Renee Pelletier.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on April 30, 2025 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 9AM until 10:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 34 Vaughn Street, Caribou. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held in the church dining hall.
