CARIBOU – Paula Ann Michaud, 65, died unexpectedly September 11, 2022 at Portland. She was born in Caribou, September 9, 1957 the daughter of the late Clarence and Sylvia (Thibodeau) Barclay. Paula was a 1976 graduate of Caribou High School, and then earned her RN certification from Northern Maine Community College. She was a loved and respected operating room nurse at Cary Medical Center and at The Aroostook Medical Center for over 30 years. She loved spending time at Cross Lake with family, friends, and especially her beloved grandchildren. In more recent years she enjoyed traveling and adventures with Daryl and her many friends. She is survived by two daughters, Trisha Stubbs of Presque Isle and Katie Derry and husband Merle of Caribou, two brothers, Larry Barclay and wife Carol of Tuscon, AZ, and Wayne Barclay and husband Chet Waltman of Port Charlotte, FL, one sister, Judy Barclay of North Port, FL, her grandchildren, Hunter, Grant, Reagen Stubbs and Arizona Scott, her significant other, Daryl Saunders, and many nieces and nephews. Paula was predeceased by her first husband Freddie Sirois, her second husband Steven Michaud, her son Travis Michaud, and a brother, Ronald Barclay. Friends may visit with the family Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 5PM until 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. All are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the parish hall.
