Nancy Ann Shaw, 79, died December 15, 2024 at Caribou following a period of declining health. She was born in Caribou, June 22, 1945 the daughter of the late Albert and Marie (Dubay) Theriault. Nancy grew up on the family farm in North Caribou, attended local schools, and attended Marie-Jospeh Academy graduating in 1963. She continued her education at Northern Maine Community College, graduating in 1995 with an associates degree in business administration. She married Richard V. Shaw, April 12, 1969. Nancy was a lifetime member of the Holy Roary Catholic Church, was employed at the Aroostook Trust Company, Maine National Bank, Aroostook County Federal Savings and Loan, and retired from Defense Finance Accounting Service Loring in 2012. Nancy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She touched the hearts of all who knew her with her many acts of kindness. She loved spending time with family to celebrate special occasions and would document those occasions with photography. After retiring she was an avid quilter, and made many quilts for members of her family. Bargain shopping was her specialty, and she will be especially remembered for the thoughtful gifts she gave. Nancy’s love for family and photography are her legacy.

Surviving in addition to her husband Richard of Caribou, are her sons, Glen Shaw of Mapleton, and Tyler Shaw and wife Tammy of Mount Gilead, Ohio, her beloved grandsons, Kamen and Rowen Shaw, her siblings, Francis Theriault and wife Sharon of Fort Mills, SC, Gene Theriault of Limestone, Walter Theriault and wife Beverly of Great Falls, Montana, Norman Theriault and wife Linda of Caribou, Richard Theriault and wife Lynn of Connor Township, and Karen Thibodeau and husband Anson of Caribou, a brother-in-law, Kermit Staples and his wife Sandi, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by sisters, Marlene Staples, and Noela Ouellette, a sister-in-law, Edna Theriault, and a sister-in-law, Paulette Ward and husband Freddie.

 Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 9AM until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A time of continued fellowship and refreshments will follow.
