Murielle M. Caron

Murielle M. Caron, 89, died August 18, 2024 in Caribou. She was born in Lejeune, Quebec Canada, March 30, 1935 the daughter of the Ernest and Cecile (Dufour) Fontaine. Murielle married Louis L. Caron on August 19, 1957 and together they shared 64 years of marriage before his death on December 28, 2021. Murielle was a homemaker while her children were small, and then worked in the potato industry doing various jobs. Murielle was a longtime communicant of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne since 1957. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

 She is survived by her three children, Brenda Till and husband Andrew, Garland Caron and wife Sheila, and Galen Caron and wife Lori all of Caribou, brothers, Armand Fontain and wife Lorraine Fontain, Laurent Fontain, Marguerite Ouelet and husband Lucien, Beatrice Roy and husband Adelard, and Gisele Roy and husband Regis all of Canada, grandchildren, Brianna Caron, Laura Morehouse and husband Steven, Jesse Caron, Matthew Till and wife Lydia, Cassie Caron and partner Joshua Gildert, great-grandchildren, Jaina, Jason, Abigail, Wilhelmina and Leonora. Murielle is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert Caron and wife Rose, Blanche Bouchard, and Joseph Caron, all of Caribou. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents and several siblings. 

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 8:30AM until 9:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM at the Parish of the Precious Blood, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1143 Van Buren Road, Caribou. All are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the parish hall following the service. Private family interment will take place at a later date in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
