WOODLAND - Michael L. Kish, 80, passed away December 22, 2019 at Caribou surrounded by his family. He was born May 7, 1939 in Gary, Indiana, the son of the late Lewis and Anna (Koval) Kish. Michael was a graduate of Froebel High School. He served in the United States Air Force from October 1958 until October of 1962. He was employed by Republic Steel Company for 4 years, Cyr Brothers for 12 years, and then Civil Service as a mechanic at Loring Air Force Base for 24 years until his retirement. During his retirement he worked part-time for the Caribou School Department. He married Barbara S. Michaud on December 21, 1961. Michael was a longtime member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and will be remembered for his love of animals, and family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Michael is survived by two sons, Michael J. Kish of Milford, and Richard C. Kish of Woodland, grandchildren, Lindsae Dunphy and husband Mike, Katrina McIntyre and husband Jeremy, Michael W. Kish, and Dezirae Kish, great-grandchildren, Emma and Jeremiah McIntyre, Carter Kish, and Harper Fortin. Mr. Kish was predeceased by his wife, Barbara in 2010, and a son, Timothy. Graveside services will be held at the New Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
