Limestone and Caribou- Michael John Poisson, 54, died May 24, 2013 at hisLimestone residence surrounded by his loving family following a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born in Caribou November 5, 1958 the son of the Joseph Donat and Laura Tracy Turner Poisson. Mike attended the Caribou schools and served with the US Air Force from 1979-1992. He was employed by Levesque Office Supply for a number of years and in 2006 he became employed by the Defense Finance and Accounting Services at Loring. On April 2, 1982 he married the love of his life, Katherine McCormick. Mike played guitar and sang in multiple local bands over the years. Over the past couple of years be enjoyed riding his four wheeler. Surviving in addition to his wife, Kathy of Limestone are his sons, Joseph Poisson and girlfriend Kilee Merchant of Limestone, Joshua Poisson and wife Nikki and Jonathan Poisson and wife Jessica all of Presque Isle. His four grandchildren, whom he adored, Karter Poisson and Zoe Harrison of Limestone, and Rhianna Desjardins and Baby Fish (due in November), of Presque Isle. His brothers; Alfred Parent of Bangor, James Parent and wife Linda of LaGrange, Francis Parent and partner Charlene of Inverness, FL., James Kelley and wife Pat of Caribou, Patrick Poisson and Paul Poisson both of Kernersville, N.C. His sisters, Sharon Corbin and husband Dale of Caribou, Pamela McPheeters and husband Dave of Taylorsville, N.C and Patricia Michaud of Whitaker,N.C.. His extended family; Gary and JoAnn Kelley and Sue Niles all of Caribou, Carol Carmichael of Mars Hill, Richard and Cheri McCormick of Bangor, Debbie and Wayne Tracy Las Vegas, Arleen and Randy Menard of Kingman AZ and Gary and Robin Kelley of Tustin, CA. He will be sadly missed by many special nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his parents, a brother Robert Kelley, a sister Theresa Michaud and a nephew Travis Kelley. Friends may visit with the family 7-9pm Wednesday at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday May 30, 2013 from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Jewell, officiating. Interment with military honors will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
