CARIBOU – Merrill C. Lint, 67 died July 24, 2014 at his Caribou residence. He was born in Presque Isle July 7, 1947 the son of Ada Lint. Mr. Lint served with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a boiler operator for several area potato processing plants. He married Marlene Searles, July 6, 1980. Merrill was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the North American Fishing Club. Nicknamed “Beaver”, Merrill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Surviving in addition to his wife, Marlene of Caribou are his son Dale Lint of Limestone. Four step-daughters, Peggy Theriault and husband Randy, Lynn Mummert and husband Edward, Diane Ouellette and Lori Ouellette all of Caribou. Three brothers in law Eldon Searles Jr. of Limestone, Brian Toubman of Wilton, CT, and Tim Lyden of Spring Valley, WI. Three Sisters in law, Cindy Toubman of Wilton, CT, Dena Lock wood of Bridgeport, CT, and Donella Lyden of Spring Valley, WI. His special grandchildren, Cynthia, Ariel, Quinton, Zachary, Chet and Nicole. Three special great-grandchildren, Tearsa , Dominick and one on the way. Special family friends, Bryan Pelletier and Chester McGraw Jr. Special grandson-in-law Jerry Clavette. Nephews, Eldon Foster and Hunter Chase Searles. Friends may visit with the family 11am Tuesday, July 29, 2014 until time of services which will be held at 1pm from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with Reverend George McLaughlin, officiating.
