Washburn – William W. “Bill” Maynard, 78, died unexpectedly September 25, 2022 at Perham. He was born in Castle Hill, December 18, 1943, the son of the late William and Elsie (McLellan) Maynard. Bill was a long-haul truck driver for Pottle’s, a millwright and was still hauling potatoes for Atcheson Farms.  He also proudly served with the United States Army. On April 17, 1976, he married Mattie Bragdon, and together they shared 46 years of marriage. Bill is survived by his wife Mattie of Washburn, sons, Troy Hartley of Los Angeles, CA, Steven Hartley and wife Pam of Caribou, a brother, Lloyd Maynard and wife Rowena of Washburn, sisters, Wionna Riley and husband Neil of Ashland, Linda Brown and husband Paul of Crouseville, Fern Chasse of Presque Isle, Donna Gahagan and husband Joseph of Manchester, and Gloria Jones of Delaware, granddaughters, Bailey Martell of Texas, and Bethany Hartley of New York, great-grandchildren, Camryn and Dustin Martell of Texas, several nieces and nephews including a special niece and nephew, Sara Sines and Bryan Riley. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 3PM at the Washburn Snowmobile Club. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
