Caribou-Mary Lou Gagnon, 72 passed away January 11, 2016 at her Caribou residence. She was born in Winterville April 3, 1943 the daughter of the late Ludgin Pete and Edwidge Marie (Goslin) Gagnon. Mrs. Gagnon was and 1961 graduate of Caribou High School and she married Harold Gagnon July 3, 1964. She was a longtime faithful member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was also a member of the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mary Lou loved to knit and sew. She made beautiful quilts and many family and friends were the recipients of her handiwork. Mary Lou always had time for others and was a volunteer at the Caribou Ecumenical food pantry. Mrs. Gagnon was predeceased by her husband, Harold in 2008, a sister Dorilda, three nephews and a great great niece. She is survived by her sister, Marie Wasson of Fort Fairfield, two aunts; Hilda Nicknair and Leona Eldridge. Many nieces and nephews as well as many special friends including Barb Smith, Joyce Thompson, The Smith Family and her neighbor Birdine Wedberg. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 9:00 am Saturday Janaury 16, 2016 until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Saturday from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Kyle Doustou officiating. Spring interment will be on the New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
