WOODLAND - Mary G. Margison, 94, died April 14, 2011 at Fort Kent. She was born at Woodland, May 10, 1916, the daughter of Frank P. and Alma (Wiggins) Thomas. Mary was a school teacher for 37 years, having taught school in Mars Hill for several years and the Caribou school system until her retirement in June 1980. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Woodland, serving as a Deaconess, Choir Director, Pianist, Organist and Librarian and was also a member of the Mission Circle. In 2009 Mary was the recipient of the Boston Post Cane as Woodlands oldest resident. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Susan and Stephen Boehm of Browns Mills, NJ; a grandson Charles Donnelly and his wife Gina of Burlington, NJ; 2 nieces Priscilla “Pat” Dobson and Elaine Thomas. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred on May 1, 1998 and a brother Leonard Thomas in 1991 and his wife Pauline. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou, Saturday 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, April 17, 2011 from the First Baptist Church of Woodland with Rev. Otto Palmer, officiating. Spring interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery.
