Caribou- Mark C. Parks 33, died unexpectedly August 14, 2021 at a Portland hospital. He was born in Presque Isle August 7, 1988, the son of Mark and Roxann (Viel) Parks. Mark was a 2006 graduate of Caribou High School and served as an MP with the US Army for several years. Mark loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed four wheeling and fast cars. He lived in North Carolina for a number of years where he served on the Stoney Point, N.C. volunteer fire department. Surviving in addition to his mother of Caribou and his father of Woodland, are his beloved daughter Liyla Mae and her mother Angelque McDonald of Limestone. His sister, Amanda Alward and nephew Evan Alward of Little Madawaska Lake, his grandmother, Albert Viel of Mapleton. Several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and two very special friends, Mark Frye and Brittany White. Mark was predeceased by a brother, Evan, Grandparents: Alice and Evan Parks, Charles Whitney and Richard Viel. His uncle, Daniel Viel and brother in law Daniel Alward. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou Saturday August 21, 2021 from 11:00 am until time of services which will be held at 1:00pm from the funeral home with Rev. Ron Rosser, officiating. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in Marks memory may do so to assist the family C/O Mockler Funeral Home.
