CARIBOU – It is with great sadness that the family of Mark A. Madore, 56, announce his passing on February 3, 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer. Mark was born in Caribou, May 13, 1966, the son of Leo “Jim” and Carmeline (Michaud) Madore. He attended Caribou schools, and graduated from Caribou High School in 1985. He fell in love with Lou Anne Ouellette on February 13, 1985 and “the two became one”, which became the foundation of their marriage and their lives.
Mark was always a hard worker, often having multiple jobs at the same time. He began his work career at Yusef’s, and worked at Theriault Lawn Care for many years while also being a self-employed contractor. Most recently he worked for the state of Maine Department of Transportation.
One of Mark’s greatest achievements was the home he built for his family, it was always filled with love, laughter, and friends. Everyone loved Mark – especially for his sense of humor which will be remembered by all who knew him. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, especially to the lake to enjoy a sunset with his beloved wife. He was an avid Celtics fan and never gave up on them. Mark was a man of faith, who loved his family above all. They were his true pride and joy.

Madore and partner Shantelle Wilcox of New Sweden, Stephanie Madore and partner Robert Shaw Jr., and Kara Madore and partner Carter Conley, all of Caribou, his special grandson, Deacon Madore, his mother, Carmeline Madore, siblings, Pam Kacsur, Rhonda Lachapelle, Vicki Loving, and Lee Madore, his mother-in-law, Jeannette Peterson, several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and special friends who were like family.
