CARIBOU – Marjorie L. Cole, 76, passed away December 19, 2019 at her home in Caribou surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was born in Caribou, September 6, 1943 the daughter of the late Nobel E. and Lillian (Anderson) Johnson. Marjorie was active in a number of groups throughout the community including the Homemakers Extension where she enjoyed teaching others to cook nutritious meals, and was a Leader of the Cub Scouts. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Marjorie loved gardening, flowers and children. Mrs. Cole is survived by her children, Tim and wife Lezlie Cole, Don Cole, Lisa Chase, Denise and husband Dylan Mattern, and Kimberly and husband John Bourgoine all of Caribou, a brother, Randall Johnson of Woodland, a sister, Janice Rice of Norwich, grandchildren, Bryan Cole and wife Paige, Danielle Chase, Dylan Laforge, Haley Mayne, Aedan and Cote Bourgoine, great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Lundyn and Kainen Cole. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Everett “Jim” Cole on October 18, 2016, and her siblings, Ronald, Kenton, and Larry Johnson, Della Hanson, Barbara Sutherland, and Shirley Thibodeau. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 12pm until time of services which will be held at 1pm from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Tim Wilcox officiating. Those who wish to contribute in memory of Marjorie may do so through St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Spring interment will take place at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
