Marilyn L. Langley

July 2, 1939 — December 15, 2023

CARIBOU – Marilyn L. Langley, 84, died December 15, 2023 at Caribou. She was born in Presque Isle, July 2, 1939, the daughter of the late Lloyd and J. Kathryn “Kay” (Ranney) Brown. She was a 1957 graduate of Presque Isle High School then graduated from Westbrook Jr. College as an X-Ray Technician. Marilyn began her career at Mass General and Beth-Israel Hospitals. She married Gary L. Langley on August 11, 1963 and returned to Caribou where she worked at Cary Medical Center for years. She was an active member of the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a part of the United Methodist Women and the Jenny Lyons Circle.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Gary, of Madawaska Lake, their children, Cynthia Michaud and significant other, Leigh Peterson, of Madawaska Lake, Pamela Danforth and husband Kenneth of Hampden, Paula Richards and husband Dennis of Caribou, one sister, Sandee Culberson of Hudson, FL, two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Ward of Caribou and Jean Kessler and husband Stephen of Plattsmouth, NE. Her beloved grandchildren, Matthew Richards and significant other Amy Mazucotelli, Allison Thibeau and husband Bradley, Katherine Danforth, Ashley Jenkins and husband Michael, and Jessica Collin and husband Ronald, two great-grandchildren, Adeline and Jack Thibeau, and a special aunt, Marlene (Langley) Hemphill. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brother-in-law, Richard Culberson.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, 2 Prospect Street, Caribou. A time of continued fellowship and refreshments will follow in the church hall. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery at 2PM on the same day. The family invites those attending to wear Marilyn’s favorite color, blue, in her memory.
