Margaret Turner

WASHBURN - Margaret Joyce (Rand) Turner, 79,  passed away peacefully after an extended stay at Northern Light Continuing Care Center in Mars Hill on April 16, 2020.   Margaret was born on April 9, 1941, in Mapleton, daughter to the late Wallace and Lucy Rand. Margaret is survived by her five sons; Andrew Turner and his wife Donna of Wade, Scott Turner of Limestone, Todd Turner of Buford, GA, Trent Turner and his wife Jeannie of North Fort Meyers, FL, and Brent Turner of Washburn. She had five Grandchildren; Andrea Turner of Coral Springs, FL, Bradley Turner and his wife Erin of Wade, ME, Dustan and his partner Kyle Gaffam of South Portland, ME, Kylie Turner of Portland, ME, Emma Turner of Athens, GA.  Also, Margaret had six great grandchildren; Isaac and Adam Liebmann and Sage Williams of Coral Springs, FL, Emerson, Benjamin & Finley Turner of Wade, ME. She is also survived by her two brothers Harold Rand, Gary Rand and three sisters, Marie Wandrey, Gail Bull and Edwina Stairs.  Margaret lived her life caring for her family.  She loved all of the kids so dearly that when she could not see them in person, she spent countless hours looking at their pictures and wishing for their happiness.  Margaret also enjoyed flowers.  Any kind of flower was beautiful to her.  Margaret could look at a field of dandelions or weeds and see a blanket of beauty.  This was her outlook on life.  No matter what challenge she faced, she always found the silver lining.   Margaret was predeceased by her husband LeRoy Turner in 2008; brothers Weldon, Max, Alex, and Robert; sisters Ellen Lewin, Sarah Knox, Shirley Rand and Janette Barker. A private graveside service will be held in Washburn at a later date.
