Caribou-Louise Ward Kearney, 91, was called home to heaven on June 30, 2013, after a brief stay at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House of Southern Maine, Scarborough . A 41 year resident of Hoover Avenue in Caribou, Louise had recently moved to Portland to be closer to family. Louise graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1940 and married the love of her life, Harry N. Kearney in 1942. They spent seventy years together before his death in 2009. Louise was a member of the United Baptist Church and spent time as a member of the Mission Circle as well as the garden club. A Lifetime member of the Eastern Star, she served as the Grand Representative to Manitoba as well as Grand Matron District Deputy 1995-96. A loving mother, sister, wife, grandmother and friend, her kind smile and generous heart will be deeply missed by those who had the honor to know her. She is survived by her two daughters and sons in law; Patricia Aishton and Richard Aishton of Vinzier, France, and Colleen Kearney-Graffam and Stephen Graffam of Westbrook, grandchildren Karla Lockwood of Cape Elizabeth, Christina Neit of Colorado, Layne Kearney-Graffam of Westbrook. A brother Stanley Alden Ward of Saco, a sister Helen Belly of Andover. Six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 11.00 am Friday July 5, 2013 until time of services which will be held at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Eastern Star memorial services will be held at 12: 30pm Friday. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery Caribou.
