Louis J. Caron

CARIBOU - Louis J. Caron, 96, passed away unexpectedly December 28, 2021 in Caribou the result of an accident. He was born in Caribou, August 7, 1925 the son the late Joseph and Laura (Ouellette) Caron. 

On August 19, 1957 he married Murielle Fontaine, his loving wife of 64 years. Louis was a self-taught carpenter, who enjoyed woodworking, gardening, riding his four-wheeler, and swinging on his swing on the back patio. He was often found humming as he worked. Louis was happiest when he was around his family - his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his true pride and joy. Louis was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a very kind, quiet, and patient man, who was loved by many. He was taken away suddenly and will be truly missed. 

Surviving in addition to his wife, Murielle, are his children, Brenda Till and husband Andrew, Garland Caron and wife Shelia, Galen Caron and wife Lori, all of Caribou, two brothers, Joseph Caron, and Albert Caron and wife Rose, two sisters, Blanche Bouchard, and Virginia Martin. Louis is also survived by five grandchildren, Brianna Caron, Jesse Caron, Laura Morehouse and husband Steven, Matthew Till and wife Lydia, and Cassie Caron, as well as three great-grandchildren, Abigail Caron, Jaina and Jason Morehouse. 

Louis was predeceased by 4 brothers, Patrick, Llewelyn, Conrad and Delmar Caron, and 2 sisters, Pearl Bouchard and Bernice St. Peter. 

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 9:00am until time of services. A Mass of Christian burial will held at 11:00am, on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Spring interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
