Louis L. Bourgoine Jr.

LIMESTONE and WOODLAND- Louis L. Bourgoine, Jr., 79, passed away May 6, 2019 in Caribou following a brief battle with a cardiac illness. He was born in Limestone, March 4, 1940 the son of the late Louis and Helen (Doucette) Bourgoine Sr. Louis attended Limestone Schools, and was a self-employed potato grower in the Limestone area for many years. He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Caribou ATV Club, and the Nordic Lakers. Louis loved spending time outside fishing and hunting with his grandchildren, especially Landon. Louis is survived by his wife, Rilda (Moir) Bourgoine of Woodland, children, Steven Bourgoine and wife Celinee, of S. Fork, PA, Edward Bourgoine of Fort Fairfield, Kevin Bourgoine of Presque Isle, Kim Libby and husband Dana of Hiram, and Casey Plourde and husband Larry of Caribou, one sister, Lorraine Michaud of Presque Isle, his mother-in-law, Vesta Moir of New Sweden, 7 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lori Bourgoine, sisters, Cynthia Page, Blanche McNeal, and Barb Greenier, and two brothers, Lawrence and Gregory Bourgoine. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 1pm until time of services which will be held from the chapel of the funeral home at 2pm. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
