CARIBOU – Lloyd Nevers Duncan, 86, went home to be with his Lord, August 5, 2016 at Caribou. He was born in Houlton, August 29, 1929, the son of the late Alex and Marion (Dow) Duncan. He was a 1947 graduate of Caribou High School, and following his graduation he joined the US Navy. During high school, he worked at Katahdin Creamery, where he met his future wife, Connie Hopper. They were married September 27, 1950. He was a member of the Caribou United Baptist Church, Caribou Lions Club and the Aroostook Electrical Associates. Lloyd had a long career in developing innovative technology to help the agricultural community in Aroostook County through the businesses he owned and operated C & D Enterprises, and Commercial & Industrial Electronics. He developed and taught the industrial electronics program at Northern Maine Community College from 1978 until his retirement in 1996. Surviving in addition to his wife of over 65 years, Connie, of Caribou, are their seven children and spouses, Bruce and Penny (Jones) Duncan of Kane, PA, Robert and Earla-Lee (Miller) Duncan of Fort Fairfield, William and Jean (Buzzell) Duncan of Madawaska Lake, Rebecca (Duncan) and Alan Trombley of Chapman, Bryan and Tammie (Cyr) Duncan of Phoenix, AZ, Elizabeth (Duncan) and Gerald McKenna of Caribou, Barbara (Duncan) and Scott Pinkham of Dedham, fourteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 12 noon until time of services which will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm with Pastor Troy Heald, officiating. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Washburn.
