Caribou-Lillian H. Michaud, 83 died November 11, 2014 at Bangor following a brief illnes.She was bornin Caribou January 28, 1931 the daughter of the late Leonard and Helen (Corbin)Bourgoine. She was a graduate of Caribou, Pierre’s School of Cosmetology and was a lifelong member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She married David Ovila “Mich” Michaud November 4, 1950. Lillian was an active member of the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and served as Chief Ranger, Secretary and State trustee to the Catholic Order of Foresters. For many years, she served as a ballot clerk for the City of Caribou. Mrs. Michaud was also a member of the Catholic Golden Age, the Caribou B.P.W, the Red Hat Society as well as being a former member of the Daughters of Isabella. Lillian and Mich wintered in Pinellas Park Florida for many years, where she was active in many community events and belonged to the Ladies Club of Golden Gate Community. Surviving in addition to her husband of over 64 years, Mich, of Caribou are her three sons and two daughters in law: Vincent and Michelle Michaud of New Hampshire, Gerard and Mona Michaud of Hampden, and David Michaud of Massachusetts. Two sisters, Rena Goldenberg of Georgia and Lorette Theriualt of Massachusetts. Three grandchildren; Travis Michaud, Bethany Michaud and Pamela Ford and her husband Brendon, and one great granddaughter Sophia. One brother in law, Harvard Holmquist of Caribou. Several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 6-8p, Friday, where members of the Lister Knowlton Post Ladies Auxiliary will conduct evening services at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00pm Saturday November 15, 2015 from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Following the services all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the parish center. Interment will be in the Northern MaineVeterans Cemetery.
