Crouseville and Norridgewock- Lewis R. "Lew" Hartsgrove Sr. 78, died September 9, 2010 at his Norridgewock residence. He was born in Woodland August 25, 1932 the son of the late Fred and Nettie (Green) Hartsgrove. Mr. Hartsgrove was employed by several area potato growers for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish and camp with his family and friends. In later years, he became an avid reader, reading many novels, books and stories. He is survived by a son and daughter in law Lewis and Tammy Hartsgrove Jr. of Fairbanks, Alaska. Two daughters and a son in law, Patti and Rick Nilsson of Corinth and Jennie Hartsgrove of Norridgewock. One brother and sister in law Robert and Ina Hartsgrove of Corinna. One sister Regina Hartsgrove of Norridgewock. A daughter in law Margaret Hartsgrove of Crouseville. Seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hartsgrove was predeceased by his wife Alice (Langley) Hartsgrove in 1995 and a son Theren in 2008. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 12: noon Tuesday Sept. 14, 2010 until time of services which will be held at 1:00 pm from the funeral home with Pastor Matt Palmer, officiating. Interment will be in the Crouseville Cemetery.
