Leo (Ted) Thibodeau

Caribou-Leo “Ted” Thibodeau, 83 died May 19, 2012 at Bangor. He was born in Connor October 29, 1928 the son of the late Leo and Bridget (Fournier) Thibodeau. Mr. Thibodeau was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he was a charter member of the Rev. Abel Hebert Council Knights of Columbus. He was currently a Third Degree member of the Fred V. Brescia Council Knights of Columbus. He married Orilla Guerrette November 25, 1947. Mr. Thibodeau was employed as a union iron worker, Local 399 and worked on numerous construction projects throughout New England. Surviving in addition to his wife of over 64 years, Orilla of Caribou, are four sons and three daughters in law; Daniel and Irene Thibodeau of Titusville, Fl., Michael and Christi Thibodeau of Aurora, CO., Steve and Diana Thibodeau of Gardiner and Bruce Thibodeau of Boston. Three daughters and two sons in law; Sandra LaPointe and her fiancé Danny Dennett of Castle Hill, Bonnie and Harold Turck and Tammy and Michael Belanger all of Caribou. One brother and sister in law, Donald and Jonnye Thibodeau of Spanish Fort, Alabama. Three sisters and two brothers in law; Nancy and Jim Harris of Caribou, Patsy and Conrad Dionne of Connor and Diane Tirrell of Jupiter, Fl. Thirteen Grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Thibodeau was predeceased by four brothers, Frank, Norman, Roland, Allen and two grandchildren, Kevin Laidacker and Tina Thibodeau. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 7-9 pm Tuesday. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Wednesday May 23, 2012 from the Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Ted’s cousin, Fr. Clement Thibodeau, officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mr. Thibodeau may do so through the Sacred Heart Church memorial fund.
