Karen L. Shaw

Karen Lee Shaw, 70, died November 30, 2024 in Caribou following a brief illness. She was born in Caribou, November 30, 1954 the daughter of the late C. Whitcomb and Janet (Foster) Shaw. Karen was a graduate of Caribou High School, and of Boston University. She worked for many years as an Ophthalmology Medical Assistant, retiring in Peoria, IL. After her retirement, she returned to Maine where she enjoyed going on many adventures with friends both new and old. Karen was a book and animal lover, who enjoyed travelling. She was blessed to have lived in the Caribbean for many years, and even got to experience a trans-Atlantic crossing.

Karen is survived by her sister, Tammy Shaw of Sarasota, FL, her uncle John Richard Shaw of Presque Isle, and by many special friends and cousins. Friends are invited to visit at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 12PM until 1PM on Thursday, December 12, 2024. A time to share memories will follow at 1PM at the chapel of the funeral home. A private interment will take place at a later date.
