CARIBOU – Kacie Jo Haney, 17, died June 5, 2020 in Caribou as a result of an automobile accident. She was born in Caribou, April 11, 2003 the daughter of Milo Haney and Julie Chamberlain. Kacie had just completed her junior year at Caribou High School, and was very excited to start her senior year. She was a member of the Cross Country Running Team. Kacie was employed at Burger Boy and Caribou Nursing Home. She was a jack of all trades, working at and promoting Spud Speedway in Caribou, and the Northern Maine Karting Association. Kacie loved the quote “Live Wide Open” and her life reflected that. She is survived by her mother, Julie Chamberlain and fiancée Troy Haney of Caribou, and her father Milo Haney and companion Lori Hodsdon of Connor, her brother, Jason Haney and fiancée Mackenzie Belanger of Castle Hill, her niece Charlee Haney of Castle Hill, grandparents, Gloria Chamberlain, and Milo and Priscilla Haney all of Caribou, special cousins, Kirsten and Abbie Haney, aunts and uncles, Jonathan Haney and Sarah Anderson, and Chris and Danielle Haney, special family members, Brooke and Sabrina Haney, Dezirae Kish, Josh and Harper Fortin. Kacie was predeceased by her grandfather, Joseph Chamberlain, and grandmother, Linda Searles. Friends are invited to a vehicle visitation on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Caribou High School from 12:00pm until 2:00pm, where friends and family may take a moment to pause to show their support to the Haney family and pay their respects to Kacie. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Kacie may do so through a scholarship fund to be established in her memory care of Caribou High School, 308 Sweden Street, Caribou, Maine 04736.
