CARIBOU - Kenneth L. Hartley, 75, died May 1, 2021 at Presque Isle following a brief illness. He was born in Portland, September 6, 1945, the son of the late Thomas and Edna (Jandreau) Hartley. Mr. Hartley was a graduate of Caribou High School, and married Muriel Belanger, December 3, 1966. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and was employed by Matheson Gas Company for many years. Ken loved family, friends, food, fishing, and music. Surviving in addition to his wife of over 54 years, Muriel of Caribou, are two daughters, Tammy Eike and husband Fred of Hampstead, NC, and Lynn Hartley of Holly Ridge, NC, five grandchildren, Jessica Wright and husband James, Kane Clark and wife Lauren, Julie, Sarah, and Kimberly Eike, three great-grandchildren, Devin and Noah Wright and Ava Clark, one brother, John Hartley of East Hartford, CT, three sisters, Brenda Beaudet and husband Bob of Montana, Ruby Pelletier of Caribou, Feverly Bureau and husband Gil of CT, several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Kenneth’s Life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in his memory may do so through the American Cancer Society.
