June 15, 1930 — July 30, 2016

Stockholm and Caribou-June Marie Rogers, passed away peacefully July 30, 2016 at Caribou surrounded by her loving family and close friends. She was born in Caribou June 15, 1930 the daughter of the late Sam and LaBebe (Sowma)Sullivan. She was a 1948 graduate of Caribou High School. June met the love of her life, Richard R. Rogers while waitressing at Green Acres Restaurant and they were married February 6, 1954. Together they raised their two children, Barbara and Sam. June was best known for her caring nature, impeccable style and spotless home. She was often seen at Frederick’s Southside, Yusef’s Restaurant or the Henry B. Prat Post #15 American Legion, where she was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary and also where she met her companion of over 23 years, Patrick Soucie. For the past ten years, June resided with her daughter Barbie and son-in-law Terry Thibodeau at Madawaska Lake, where she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren and watching the beautiful sunsets. June was predeceased by her parents, her husband Richard “Dick” Rogers, a brother George Sullivan and her companion Patrick Soucie, two sisters-in-law ; Barbara Norsworthy and Elizabeth Hudson, a nephew Billy Norsworthy, a cousin, Anna Putnam, her best friend, Lorraine McCrossin and a special niece Lynn Sullivan McCrossin. Mrs. Rogers is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Terry Thibodeau of Madawaska Lake and a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Mitzi Rogers of Bangor. Grandchildren; Ashley Thibodeau Jackson, Alysia Thibodeau and partner Ian McGlinn, Ryan Rogers and wife Traci and Cody Rogers. Great grandchildren; Maddison Jackson, Abbygail McGlinn and Reece and Ryson Rogers. She also leaves behind a special sister-in-law, Ethel Sullivan, A niece Brenda Willis and husband David. Great nieces and nephews; Kyle and Brie Willis, Lyndsay Jo McCrossin and husband Filip Duric and Nicholas McCrosssin. A special friend and cousin, Natalie Hackett and loving friends, Karen Thibodeau, Sandra Hallowell, and Jonnie and Dawn Thibodeau. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff on the medical floor at Cary Medical Center as well as everyone at Borderview Rehab for all of their special care and kindness shown to June and her family these past few weeks. The family will be having a private service in her name at a later date.
