Juanita Knowlton

Juanita Marion Knowlton, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 9, 2025 at the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou.

She was born February 16, 1937 at home in Woodland, the daughter of the late Herbert and Hope (Brown) Ketch.

She was a longtime faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Woodland and served in many capacities. She was also an employee of Cary Medical Center for many years.

Nita was a talented artist. She was well accomplished in her paintings, quilting, and craft work.

She was predeceased by her husband Emery Knowlton, three brothers, Dale Ketch of Virginia, Phil Ketch of Woodland and Richard Ketch of New Sweden, a sister, Louise and husband John Judd of Vermont, sister-in-law Dorcus Ketch of New Sweden.

She is survived by her son, Scott Knowlton of Presque Isle, a brother, Ward Ketch and wife Lois of Pennsylvania and a sister Myrtle and husband Marvin Post of Iowa, sisters-in-law Gloria Ketch, of Woodland and Juanita Ketch of Virginia. Many nieces and nephews on the Ketch and Knowlton sides of the family.

Friends may call at the First Baptist Church of Woodland on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 2PM until time of services which will be held at 3PM with Pastor Troy Heald officiating. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
